who we are
twenty was founded in 2009, and we quickly became an established, rapidly growing, independent recruitment business, with a particular focus on differentiating ourselves in the industry. we were founded on the principal that consultancy led recruitment has evolved. the reality now being faced in all markets is a demand for professional market experts, who partner closely with select clients – and rightly so.
to keep up and lead this change in the industry, our focus revolves around the quintessential component of any recruitment business, our people. we strategically hire the predominant amount of our consultants at grassroots level, with a high potential and a blank canvas – for our board members (not just management) to teach them the ways of best in class recruitment alongside advisory led consulting. building them up to hopefully becoming the go-to within their vertical market and industry, for both the best people and valuable advice.
whilst we hire many grassroot consultants, we also have a population of select senior experts, who joined twenty having enjoyed careers elsewhere – continually expanding our industry insight and driving a unique offering.
since our inception we recognised the importance of relationship building and offering a consultancy level service, alongside a recruitment solution. we work on helping candidates build their career, rather than just finding their next job. our relationship with our clients is intended to forge deep roots within their organisations, providing solutions to very real problems, assisting them through periods of change or growth and helping them to shape teams and departments; rather than just making ‘the odd placement’.
we don’t say yes to working with everyone – valuing each and every relationship that we build as a company. we make sure that we only promise and guarantee delivery, if we are 100% sure we can reach it and have the capacity to uphold service standards. in an industry with so much competition you have to stand out. twenty are deliberately different in our recruitment efforts, having listened to the downfalls of the industry, we’ve made sure our approach is tailored, personalised and above all crystal clear.
we in turn have a mantra to which we hold firm. we don’t work with strangers. each and every candidate or client our consultants work with becomes someone with whom we seek to develop a strong relationship. each consultant’s portfolio is therefore intentionally selective, ensuring they can build an appropriate foundation and from that [hopefully] forge an unbreakable bond.
