I'm working directly with the Head of Regulatory Policy for a global investment bank in Manhattan. They are looking to expand the senior leadership team by adding a VP level SME.
The team is split across a number of regions and acts as the SMEs relating to US FED regulatory capital requirements. They work across the entire product book and are the go-to hit squad when it comes to trade policy in the capital space. Day to day, this role works with the front office providing on desk support of regulatory policies. You'll also be responsible for the foresight and interpretation of policies, roll outs to the wider organization and the mentor-ship, training and on-boarding of junior members of the team.
This is a well established, close knit team with strong proof of rapid progression through all levels. You will be at the forefront of regulatory knowledge. On a daily basis, you will be speaking to traders, ops, control and senior stakeholders. When necessary, you will also be required to reach out to the regulators.
The ideal candidate will be an expert in Basel III, RWA and Capital planning. Something you will have lived and breathed for the last few years. You will have worked in a complex organization, preferably both a US and non-US investment bank with a wide exposure to a number of different products. You must have experience at driving or leading teams with a desire to continue a career in the regulatory capital space.
You will have a masters degree in a related field or above and other professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, MBA are always nice!
